A little preparation before the gates open.
Whether you are a student, parent or Fair Companion, you have a part in bringing the Fair to life.
FOR STUDENTS
With your parent, choose your Fair Companion and give her your invitation.
Once she accepts, ask her to keep the little golden key safe.
Help arrange your time together.
You might also help your companion find her way around this website (if needed).
As you progress through the tents - keep your story booklets, notes, Crest Collector, drawings and photographs together
you’ll use your discoveries to easily create your personal crest when you arrive at the 6th tent.
FOR PARENTS OR GUARDIANS
Read the welcome booklet, within the 1st envelope (containing the invitation) this will come home from school
with your daughter and help your daughter invite her Fair Companion.
Return the school permission form.
Register using the Parent or Guardian button on the home page
Help them make regular time together and access the materials they might need.
FOR FAIR COMPANIONS
Register using the Fair Companion button on the home page.
Read the welcome booklet and the guidance on sharing stories. Under the heading 'BEFORE WE BEGIN'
Arrange a regular time with your young companion, in person, online or by video call.
Begin thinking about life when you were fourteen and beyond—the everyday moments, people and experiences you might enjoy sharing.
However, be mindful of stories you might share about others.
THEN EXPLORE THE TENTS TOGETHER. Each tent will open on the date shown, with guidance for your time together. You will receive an email containing the story and any information you might need to know.
